Designed for:

Teams of three or more members who need to work together effectively to achieve their objectives and targets within the business.

Duration: One day

Objectives:

The course will enable each team member to:

1. Recognise the characteristics of effective teams and team working
2. Apply principles for effective communication and co-operation in planning and achieving team tasks
3. Build relationships with other team members
4. Recognise the contribution they are capable of making to the team
5. Recognise strengths and areas for development in the team

Training Methods:

Short trainer input sessions covering the key principles and skills. Structured, supervised outdoor-based (but safe) activities designed to give practice in and encourage, effective team working. Trainer facilitated sessions to review team performance, key learning and how to apply it back at work.

• Objectives, methods and learning opportunities
• Recognising effective teams and team working
• Principles for planning, communicating and co-operating in teams
• Skills practice (outdoor tasks)
• Task review and feedback
• Action Planning for team development
