Team Development (Code TD.99/02)

Designed for:

Teams of three or more members who need to work together effectively to achieve their objectives and targets within the business.

Duration: Two days

Objectives:

The course will enable each team member to:

1. Recognise the characteristics of effective teams and team working
2. Jointly plan to solve problems and take decisions for achieving tasks
3. Recognise the importance of effective communication, co-operation and trust within the team
4. Recognise team roles, strengths and areas for development
5. Jointly plan for developing team performance

Training Methods:

Short trainer input sessions covering the key principles and skills. Structured, supervised outdoor-based (but safe) activities designed to give practice in and encourage, effective team working. Trainer facilitated sessions to review team performance, key learning and how to apply it back at work.

Day One

• Objectives, methods and learning opportunities

• Task planning - solving problems and taking decisions

Day Two

• Developing our performance - Action Planning
