How do we focus on application?
By contracting with clients to carry out whichever of the following is relevant to meeting their needs:
Agree clearly defined, measurable development goals with everyone involved
Incorporate 'application planning' sessions as part of a training or development activity
Assist trainees in setting realistic action plans for the applying their learning
Encourage people to use and 'own' newly defined processes
Encourage line managers to support their people in applying their learning
Provide relevant follow-up and review activities to measure results
Provide on-the-job coaching or advice
